Budding Star Quilts is the creation of owner Kathy Verser. Kathy started quilting in 1976, taking her first lesson in a raging midwest snowstorm. After moving to Hunterdon County, New Jersey, she started teaching quilt classes in her home. 18 years ago Kathy opened Budding Star Quilts. To celebrate the occasion her students gave her a (what else!) quilted wall hanging which is still displayed at the entrance of the shop. Since its opening, the shop has more than tripled in size!

Quilting is not just a functional craft; it is a shared experience. In our shop and classes there is the opportunity to share ideas, laughter and fun.
